4 Point Inspection

A 4-Point Inspection is not a comprehensive inspection of the entire home but an inspection that provides your insurance company satisfaction the home’s major systems are working properly.  Older homes (generally 15-20 years or older) may have fallen into disrepair over time or may still have antiquated systems.  A 4-Point Inspection helps insurers determine if the home is eligible for coverage under their policies and generally takes about 45 minutes.

What is inspected during a 4-Point

Roof - Inspect entire roof for visible deterioration due to age or water damage from outside and inside the home.

HVAC - Inspect both Heating and Cooling systems to determine age and operation.

Plumbing - Inspect all fixtures and visible connections for corrosion and leaks.

Electrical - Inspect all electrical panels for overheated/ overloaded breakers and under sized wiring as well as excessive corrosion and critters.
